Climate Change Officer - City of Mandurah (Temp 6 month term – immediate start)

The City of Mandurah is seeking expressions of interest for an upcoming opportunity for an experienced Climate Change Officer to join the EcoServices Section.

In this position you will be responsible for implementing greenhouse gas mitigation actions. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and relevant experience in climate change mitigation and project management skills are essential for this position. Previous experience in the Cities for Climate Protection Program is highly desirable.

Call for volunteers - Environmental Technology Centre (ETC)

Sustainability students are invited to join our volunteer team. We work on Mondays and Wednesdays.
You will undergo an induction program and be fully insured as volunteers through the Faculty of Sustainability, Environmental and Life Sciences.

The Environmental Technology Centre is gearing up for winter and hopefully a bit of rain will kick off the growing season soon.

Projects include designing and constructing a new greenhouse facility to propogate native tree and shrub seedlings and provide services to help maintain carbon off-sets for Murdoch University.

We seek volunteers tocommence our planting program and will include all sorts of fruits and vegetables that will enable volunteers to share in the bounty at harvest times. Lastly, we have chickens and ducks that need feeding 3 times a week and anyone volunteering for this gets to take eggs home.

Environmental consulting opportunities

Alumni or students of ISTP, are you interested in joining URS, specifically within the corporate risk and liability group which specialises in the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites but also in our other groups such as environment, water (surface and groundwater) and sustainability.

Our course could quip you with much of the knowledge required to work within environmental consultancy with URS.
